Joanna is a foodie, a dietitian and a registered nurse, who is passionate about digestive health.
Her personal experience with IBS has driven her to focus exclusively in IBS and food intolerance in her Melbourne based private practice, Everyday Nutrition. Here she loves to work one on one and in group settings helping people to calm their gut and begin to love food and life again.
In addition to this, Joanna has developed education resources and presented seminars for dietitians around Australia and internationally in the USA. She is a regular contributor to FODMAPPER magazine and has also written for other publications including Healthy Food Guide, Australian Gluten Free Life and Nursing Review. In 2018 Joanna appeared on Channel 7’s ‘The Intolerant Cooks’ discussing IBS with Karen Martini and Richard Barassi. Joanna also has experience working with food industry providing assistance with FODMAP based content, education and product development.
Joanna is a professional member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA), the Australian Nurses and Midwives Federation (ANMF) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
Prof Jane Muir is a Nutrition Scientist and Dietitian with over 25 years’ experience in the area of nutrition research.
